Get into the habit of leading without a title.
This does not mean start barking instructions to your colleagues. Technically, you are a stakeholder in the organization, getting dividends in the form of a salary. You have a responsibility to your own space.
Lead. Lead yourself first. You can’t lead others having not lead yourself. What are you teaching yourself that you can later teach to your co-workers without undergoing training for it or constantly needing to consult your team leader? Teach yourself how to impart knowledge without the superiority complex.
You’re also the CEO of your own space. That cubicle is your corner office. How are you taking care of that? More importantly, you’re the CEO of your craft and ability.
As the company CEO is tasked with finding ways to grow and evolve the organization, you’re tasked with growing and evolving your own.
